Chapter 36.

Destinee POV.

The stench of damp invaded my senses as I lay groggily on a cold damp floor. Wincing, I pulled myself up to look at my surroundings. Letting my eyesight adjust to the darkness that envelopes us. I wonder where I am.

The hum of silver around me sings in my ears. I’m in a cell.

“Aura, Aura, can you hear me?” I ask in my mind when I hear a groan and it’s her.

I release a sigh of relief.

“Yeah, I can hear you.” She says, sadness in her voice. Sadness because our mate protected his ex-girlfriend. The woman who is mated to the leader of the rogues, the woman who orchestrated the attack and set us up.

Aura read Crystal’s thoughts during the fighting. We heard everything that she and her mate has planned for the pack, and so Aura did what she was supposed to as an Alpha eliminate the threat. What we weren’t expecting was for Orion to protect her. That was a blow to our heart and so they fought and Aura lost control and would have killed him.

“How long have we been out?” I ask he

Titus should have researched Crystal like he should have and Destinee would not be in these situations.
