Chapter 32

I always thought that the first time I would do a pregnancy test, it would be the most memorable and joyous moment of my life. I pictured myself with Junior and he would probably be sitting on our king sized bed in our perfect little house, or he would be pacing up and down, wondering what the results would be. And then I would walk out with a solemn blank expression, holding the stick in my hands before I would walk up to him, and he would be nervous, telling me that everything would be ok and it's fine if I'm not pregnant. Then I'll break out into a huge smile and throw myself into his arms and exclaim that I'm pregnant and we'd just sit there in each other's embrace.

This...was anything but.

This was the most horrific moment of my life.
