Chapter forty five

Kaden pressed his back against the hospital wall and slowly sat on the floor looking dejected.

He rested his elbows on his knees while his hands covered his face.

He felt defeated and lost, he didn't know why all of this was suddenly happening to his wife.

Could it be that she was going through danger because of him? He had a lot of enemies and perhaps maybe they were doing this to get their revenge on him.

"What the fuck did you do to my sister?!" he heard a voice say, and immediately knew who it belonged to, Veronica.

"You b*stard!" Veronica knelt next to him, fisted his bloody shirt in her hands and started shaking him violently, " You promised to keep her safe and to protect her but now she's fighting for her life in there all because of you -- you jerk!"  She let go of his shirt and repeatedly hit his chest but Kaden didn't fight back, he just lowered his head in guilt and sadness.

"Baby calmed down," Jeremy pried the crazy woman a
