Eden pov

Percy didn't try to push me when he parked the car, all the way back home, het never asked me a question throughout the entire ride. He followed closely behind me as we reached the elevator and pressed in the button before I could.

We entered the elevator and waited for the door to close. His hands grazed mine, making me look up at him.

“What happened?” He started gently turning to me. His face was calm and plain.

“I just remembered something.”

“No you didn’t, your face was pale Eden, your eyes looked like you’ve seen a ghost, what did you see?” He asked, he had caught into my bullshit already.

“I thought I saw someone.” I replied, it was half the truth, I did think I saw someone I knew, someone I didn’t expect to see soon.

“Who?” He pressed on and the doors opened giving me that freedom to walk away from him.

“It’s no one.” I replied hoping he would just drop it.

“No it’s not Eden, don’t do this now.” I whipped around to face him.

“I’m not doing anything.” I
