Realizing he might be crushing her with his weight, Trevor rolled over on his back next to her. The firework show was still going on. The spurts of light lit the room and their naked sweaty bodies. He licked his lips as his mind played back the last twenty minutes.
Trevor just thought she was timid at the time because of what almost happened to her four years ago and that she had only been with one man. Come to find out, she had never been with a man before. Trevor had thought she was tight from not being with anyone for a long time. His eyes had widened to the size of nickels as a shiver had gone down his spine when he felt her hymen break. Clarice hadn’t noticed because she had her eyes closed tight from the pain. If he had known she was a virgin, he would have been gentler going in.

Joanna couldn’t go with Trevor to the country club. Selena and Christopher would call her out in a second – especially Christopher. She had to get out of this. She shook her head. “I’ll . . . take my chances. I can meet them another time. It sounds like there is a lot on the line this time around. Too much pressure” He gave her a curt nod. “Now, that you mention it. It would be a lot of pressure. Especially since you . . . are not the heiress I thought you were.” Her lips parted at the remark. “You said that didn’t matter to you.” “It doesn’t. But .
Joanna showed Courtney around the condo when she arrived. She was pretty impressed by it for a maid who worked in a mansion. Fifteen minutes later, they were sitting in the floor around the coffee table in the living room eating shrimp cocktail and cracked crab and drinking Cristal for lunch. As Joanna’s mother would say, they were living high off the hog. Joanna had gotten dressed in the brand new clothes Trevor had bought her; a pink blouse, and beige khakis. She even wore the jewelry Trevor bought for her. Courtney had on a black T-shirt and white shorts. “You look really good,” Courtney said with her mouth full.
Five weeks later . . . Joanna had thought the first ten weeks with Trevor were the best weeks of her life – until the last five weeks she had spent with him. She didn’t know she could be this happy. Trevor had taken her to the country club as his guest. He had tried to teach her how to play golf. With him standing behind her trying to teach her how to swing the club every time she had to hit the ball, it made both of them horny. They hadn’t made it to the sixth hole, but to one of the landscaping sheds. Trevor had bent her over a work bench and plowed into her from behind. Afterwards, they had not been in the mood to complete the lesson. They had gone to the Hudson condo at the Waldorf Astoria and hit the bedroom for round two. Tre
Joanna was finishing dusting the sitting room in the east wing when Selena came in carrying Chris. “Joanna,” Selena began. “Yes?” “I talked to Beverly yesterday evening. She said she had a nasty exchange with you and a group of girls that afternoon,” Selena stated. “Well, it wouldn’t have been any nastiness at all if Beverly would have kept her distance,” Joanna said in a matter of fact tone. Selena’s mouth dropped open. &
Joanna opened her eyes. Her head was on Trevor’s chest. Panic struck her when she realized it was light outside. She turned to look at the clock. It was seven a.m. “Oh my god,” she hissed. She lifted her head to look at Trevor. He was sound asleep. If she wanted to get to the estate by eight a.m. she had to hurry. Joanna eased off the bed as quickly and quietly as possible. Trevor was a heavy sleeper but she didn’t want to test fate by being careless. Joanna couldn’t afford to have him distract her. Otherwise, she would never get out the door. Her plan had been to leave last night after Trevor had, but both of them had fallen asleep after they had made love. Joanna was
It was Monday, and Joanna and several of her classmates turned in their portfolios to the assistant dean of the school for him to turn over to the mystery judges to review. On Wednesday, the judges will make themselves known when they reviewed the students’ outfits. Joanna was excited and anxious about the process. It counted for six credits and the top two people who got the highest grades would get a professional review in a fashion magazine. If she was one of the awardees, it could really jump start her career in fashion design. She had thirty minutes until her next class so she hung out in one of the sitting areas upstairs looking out at the city. New York. A city full of possibilities
Joanna had stopped at a restaurant that had a big bathroom on her way to the café where she was supposed to meet Selena. She changed into a pair of old shorts and a gray shirt. She put her hair up in a ponytail and washed her face free of make-up with a wash-cloth she had in her purse. The last thing Joanna needed was to stun Selena senseless by showing up looking the way Clarice looks. She was fifteen minutes late getting to the café, but she got there. It was the café they used to have coffee in before Selena got married. “Hi,” Joanna said as she approached the table two tables away from the front window. “I’m sorry I’m late.” “Well, a
For the first time in almost two weeks all the Hudsons were together for breakfast. Selena asked everyone questions like she hadn’t seen them in six months. “Bruce, how are things going with Catherine?” she asked. “Great. Couldn’t go any better actually,” Bruce bragged with a little smile. “Oh?” Christopher asked with interest. “Do tell.” “Please don’t,” Trevor pleaded. “We’re eating.” “Not even you can get to me this morning, Trevor,” Bruce said w
