Robert was typing on his laptop but his mind kept on wandering to thoughts about Aria, and he felt something deep in his chest. It was an ache spreading around, he had missed her and he couldn't even lie to himself. It made him extra proud of his decision that he had included the part of her staying in his house with them in the contract. He knew she hadn't read that part with the initial look in her eyes when he had brought it to her notice. He wished he hadn't made her feel exploited and preyed upon but he was happy that finally, she would stay in his house and he'd get to see her as frequently as he wanted. He loved that, the thought made joy blossom in his chest and he wouldn't trade this feeling foe any other thing in this chest. Aria would stay in his house and it wouldn't give them an opportunity to bond more and an higher chance of her deciding to marry him when he tells her he wants it to be more than a contract. His phone rang, causing a break in his thoughts. He looked down
Harry wished he could stand up from the dinner he was having with his family. If someone had asked him what he wanted now, he'd simply respond that he wanted to take his food and leave the table without offending any of his parents. They kept on talking about successful Robert was and how they were proud of him. His mother had never talked about him in that way yet she didn't hesitate to contribute when his father started the conversation. It was just about Robert and Robert. He looked sideways and saw a grin etched on Bryan's face, one could tell that he was more proud to call Robert his big brother, more than he was to call him. "My boy keeps making me proud. It's so surreal that RL enterprises made list." His father said with a proud smile on his face. Apparently, RL enterprises had been listed at one of the fastest rising tech companies in his Los Angeles."Ofcourse. We were all here when it started." His mother, Lauren said nodding her head. Harry raised his gaze and stared at h
Aria sat on the sofa, surfing through channels and having a hard time deciding what to watch. She mostly spent time on her face so she rarely watch tv, so each time she was forced to watch the tv, she had a hard time deciding what to watch. It was Anna who was keen on watching tv and would not hesitate to grab the slightest opportunity to watch her favourite channel. As she scanned through the channels, she found each of them boring and unable to hold her interest after like five minutes of fixing her eyes on them. She finally settled for a channel that showed music videos, reducing it to the almost the lowest volume, she flung the remote control across the sofa. She scrolled through her phone and replied to a few messages, including Elanne's where she had been talking about how she missed her and how work was boring for her seeing that she didn't have anyone to talk to. Aria blushed at the messages and assured her that she was going to resume soon even though she knew that was a lie
"Aria please I need to talk to you." He begged."No," she said sternly and shut the door in his face."It's urgent." She heard him say before she banged in his face. But as she proceeded to the couch, shs kept on hearing him ring the door bell. He was relentless and hellbent on conveying an information."Ivan, what the hell do you want!" She yelled, before getting the door. He was still standing there. Visible relief spread through his features as she opened the door."Can I please come in?" He asked her"Why? You can speak from here isn't it?" She asked him."It's about Robert." He said, knowing fully well that that would hold her attention and make her want to listen to him more. She knew he thought that way, so she decided to feign nonchalance."What about him and how does that concern me?" She shrugged. "If this is about Robert then it doesn't concern me in the slightest." She responded, amidst he curious mind that begged to be satisfied."You deserve to know because you definetel
Aria couldn't be anymore happy when Elanne told her earlier this morning she would be paying her a visit. Excitement bubbled within her chest, and she could finally ask someone if what Ivan said was true. She also planned on asking Elanne for her opinion on what had been happening. Of course, she wouldn't tell her it was about her; she could substitute the original names for fake ones. Or she could lie and say that she had watched a movie where all of what she was saying had happened. Either way, she needed a third eye to view the situation with objectivity. She didn't know what to think anymore. She felt like every trace of her judgment was dampened by her emotions. When Elanne came in, she sprung to her feet and embraced her in a bear hug. Elanne grinned, hugging her tighter. When they pulled back, they both had this joyous spark in their eyes."Look at you," Elanne said, examining her. "I've missed you.""I've missed you too." Aria said. "How are you doing?""I'm just fine, I mean.
"Then why are you bothering yourself? The main focus is Robert here. We need to really know what he wants and what's the whole thing with having you and Becky in the picture.""You know, I can't probably ask him now. He's going to be aware that someone told me something and he's going to think it's without me mentioning that and I don't want to put in trouble." By this time now, Aria had stopped crying. She was wiping her tears, the tissue tracing her swollen eyelids. She held her forehead as it banged. Elanne nodded her head. "So what are you going to do now?" "I don't know but never again will I let any man hurt me and treat me the way they like. I'll never accept that... I'm simply going to give him the space he needs.""But you said you guys are sorta married.""It's a contract marriage thing. We could have simply nullified our drink marriage but he wanted me to pretend to be his wife and I agreed because I really needed the money.""When do it expire?" Elanne questioned."Two y
"You cannot be serious right now.""Of course I'm just joking but-""Maybe I should just talk to him and clarify everything." Aria suggested, exhausted. She tilted her head towards Elanne."I don't think that's a good idea because what do you want him to say to you, ofcourse he's defined going to lie about everything.""Maybe he won't, I should just give this a try." "If you say so but try not to fall for his charms or else you're going to be stuck for such a long time." Elanne warned. The sentence struck something in him because it was the same pattern with Ivan. She'd confront about what he had done and he'd apologize. She would hope that everything would come back to normal but he would end up doing the worst while she fell harder, unable to stop herself. It would be such a sad thing on her end if she allowed such cycle repeat itself."I won't, I promise." Aria assured her, promising herself in the process."Then you're good," she shrugged. "Cheer yourself up, will you?"Aria gave
"I should start leaving now," Elanne told Aria, still retaining her low, harsh tone."Wait-""How are you doing Aria?" Robert asked, calmly, settling on to the soap. He stared at Elanne. "Oh hi.""Afternoon," she stood up, clutching her bag while she was making her way towards the door, Aria held on her hands. "Please don't go yet.""Sorry gotta go." She waved an apologetic small smile. "Let me know how it goes."Aria thinned her lips and nodded. Elanne walked out the door. Then Aria's attention diverted to Robert."You didn't answer my question." Robert told her.She scratched her hair. "What was it?""I said how are you doing?" He repeated and Aria took his outfit. This was one of the few times where he was dressed casually."I'm good," she voiced out an answer that was far from the truth."Doesn't seem like it but okay." She hated how he was always able to tell when she was lying...it made lying feel like a waste to her."I'm fine." She said again, trying to convince him."I agree.
