Chapter 25 – Anxious

Things seem very normal in the following days, but Klyde could sense that she’s less engaged in their bedroom activities. She’s not as enthusiastic as before and it’s making him prickly.

“If you continue like this, you’re making me dissatisfied. I’m not paying for a half-assed job.” He grabbed her chin after he pushed her on the bed.

Mel rolled her eyes at him. “Oh, we’re getting ratings now, aren’t we? Three stars out of five? Are you always like that? You don’t pay when it’s not top-notch? Have you done that in a restaurant? Ate the food and left without paying the bill?”

Why? Why can’t he have a normal conversation with this woman?

She only narrowed her eyes at him when he looked more annoyed.

“You’re enjoying this delicacy but you’re not going to pay me? Come on. Don’t be like that. I’m tired from work. I’ve already lasted more than a month. I think I’m suffering a burnout.” She was fingering her hair while telling him her resentments. Well, not exactly resentments, but similar.
