Chapter 50

THIRD PERSON

Nicole received a call from an officer from the police station claiming they had arrested Marcus.

She rushed to the police station to see him. Her heart was pounding with fear and confusion.

When she arrived, she saw Marcus sitting in a small, cramped room, his hands cuffed behind his back.

Tears streamed down her face as she approached him, her heart breaking at the sight of him in such a vulnerable state.

"What's going on? Why are they arresting you?" She asked, tears streaming down her face.

"I don't know," Marcus said, his own voice trembling. "They think I killed Maya."

Nicole’s eyes widened in shock. "What? That's ridiculous. You would never do something like that."

"I know, but the evidence is pointing towards me," Marcus said, his head hanging low.

Nicole wanted to scream, to rail against the injustice of it all, but she knew that wouldn't help Marcus or the situation they found themselves in. Instead, she took a deep breath and tried to stay composed.
