I dug out my keys from my back pocket and inserted it into the keyhole, turning the key around in there until the door creaked open, and then I pulled down on the doorknob to get the door open. I stepped through the threshold doorway and got into the house, before turning around and staring at Elena who was standing a few feet away from my door, in the direction opposite side, while probably waiting and hoping I’d invite her in.

I scoffed a little beneath my breath before lifting my head until I was staring at her, and then I raised my right hand up and waved at her a little.

“Bye Elena, and thanks for the coffee offer.” I said to her and reached for the handle of my door, starting to tug it into place almost immediately.
