Chapter 22

“You're awake.” The first thing she said to me. My eyes widened in shock when I realized that woman was not Jaime.

“You? W-what are you doing here?” I stammered to her, and then she put the plate on the table.

“It looks like I disappointed your expectation. Are you disappointed because I'm not the girl you were waiting for?” she said, and then she sat on the chair while I remained silent, just looking at her. “I'm sorry if I use your food in your refrigerator. I'm hungry and besides, we're friends, aren't we?” she added, which surprised me as I raised an eyebrow and winced.

“Yes, you really disappoint me, and you always make surprises that I don't expect.” I said, and then I sat in the empty seat and she smiled. I turned my gaze to the food that was lying on the table which was really attractive, and it was as if its fragrant smell were kissing my nose. She laughed when she noticed the expression on my face, so I looked up at her with a trace of astonishment on my face.
