Chapter 98: His mother is alive

Lucas was beyond shocked and utterly confused as to how the woman he thought was dead was sitting in front of him.

She however looked like the shell of her former self. She looked malnourished and he could see her bones sticking out. Her eyes had bags under them and her skin wasn’t the smooth skin he knew.

If someone saw her former self and compared it to the woman who was sitting in front of him, they wouldn’t be able to recognize that they were the same person but he recognized her instantly as she was his family.

“Do you know me?” Dolores asked as she stared at the man who was standing in front of her.

Lucas immediately got closer to her and he got down on one knee. “Mom, don’t you remember your son?” he asked in a sad voice.

Even though Kiandra had told him that she didn’t remember anything, he didn’t want to believe his mother had forgotten him. Before Belle, Kiandra and Zendaya came into his life, his mother was the most important woman to him.
