Chapter 12: Fired

Taliah was leering at me intently. Miss Rosa’s bracelet vanished, and with those ogles, I knew what she was thinking already. Everyone in the office took out their bags, opened them, and put all their things on the surface while I stood, crossing my arms, proud of myself that I didn’t steal it.

It took awhile before Miss Rosa stood in front of me, ready to open my bag when I did it myself. Miss Rosa was the one who was taking my things out of my bag while I stood watching.

"I told you, Miss Rosa. I wasn’t the person who stole your jewelry." I told her.

Taliah and her friends looked at each other. Upon watching our manager extract everything, she stopped halfway, gaping at me as she pulled out her hand, picking up an unfamiliar bangle bracelet in her hands.

My eyes widened. My heart began to pound fast as I tried to speak, yet I stuttered.

"This is mine..." she stated, giving me a hint that she’s mad due to the tone of her voice.
