Chapter 50

Chan was more than a little nervous when Sam drove the van through the gate of his mansion half an hour later. Once he parked the car in the courtyard at the front, he asked, “You okay?”

Chan nodded. “Yeah. Why do you ask?”

“You look tense. Nervous?”

She chuckled lightly. “A little,” she said. After all, she was moving into his house.

Before Chan could exit the van, she saw Lilly rushing out the door, along with Marian, the housekeeper.

The moment she saw the little girl, Chan relaxed, and a smile appeared on her face, which made Sam chuckle. He said, “Let’s go.”

Chan nodded and undid her seat belt, and once she was out of the van, Lilly immediately rushed over into her opened arms.

“You finally came,” Lilly said. “I was waiting for so long.” Then she started jumping up and down. “Let’s go and check out your room. Let’s go.”

Gosh, but Lilly was very excited, wasn’t she?
