Chapter 42: Jealous

When I woke up the next day, I felt a headache. I grabbed my forehead and almost cried, so even though my body didn't want to get up, I forced myself to get up from the bed. Roswell was no longer by my side, but I saw a bouquet of flowers again at the end of the bed. I wasn't able to look at that right away because I went straight to the bathroom.

I took a shower right there and soaked in the bathtub for a while. I don't know everything that happened to me last night, but all I remember is that a strange man came to me, and David helped me.

I submerged my whole body, including my face, in the water. I stayed there until I remembered that Roswell picked me up last night, and I threw up in his car. I got up and almost caught my breath when I remembered that. My heart also immediately pounded because of shame.
