Chapter 36: In Custody

"This is the police, put your hands up!"  Someone yells and I watch as the two gunmen lay helpless on the floor, with officers on top of them. 

After all the commotion dies down, I run over and untie Dean.  He looks up at me and smiles, then I know everything will be alright at least for the moment.  Touching my arm, he leans over and kisses me passionately.  

When my hand wanders to the back of his head, I find out where all the blood on him came from.  He has a wound about the size of a quarter on the back of his skull.  They must have bashed him over the head with something when we first were taken hostage.  Feeling around, I check to make sure that there aren't any more wounds running around.
