Chapter Fifty Five

Elyon groaned in pain as she tried to open her injured eye but couldn’t. It was so painful she felt like crying and it was like the icepack didn’t help at all to lessen the swelling.

“Babe...how are you feeling?”. Cesar sounded so sad.

“Like hell". She sent him a smile. "My eye is throbbing seriously and I have this... terrible headache.”

“Sit up." He said.

Ellie sat up in bed and then was surprised when Cesar handed her a glass of water and painkiller for her headache which she took gratefully.

“Rest for a while and we’ll go to the hospital later.” Cesar told her.

“I hate hospitals.” She whined.

“For me?”.

Ellie huffed. “You’re lucky I love you so much.”

Cesar grinned. “I love you too.” He pecked her on the lips.

Ellie sighed. “I’ll never get used to you saying that. It’s like…a dream come true.” She said.

“I never really liked Catherine but...I’m glad she invited me that day. Who knows you might have found someone else.” Cesar said.

“Our love was written in the stars.” She grinned.
