Chapter Sixty Seven

Ellie sat in bed going through a book about pregnancy and she was smiling like a loon. She couldn’t believe she was actually going to have Cesar’s baby a second time. It was a dream come true but… her smile faded when she remembered the first time she’d gotten pregnant with Miesa...it hadn’t been a smooth one because Miesa had been a big baby so she had to have C-section to get the baby out and she’d almost lost her life as well.

She didn’t want that to happen again. She wanted to have a natural delivery this time. She was still pondering over this when the door to the bedroom opened and she scrambled out of bed and went to the sitting room hoping it was Cesar.

“You’re still awake?”. Cesar looked surprised to see her.

Ellie said nothing and rushed to hug him tight.

Cesar froze and didn’t relax until Ellie got herself and released him. He didn't think he was ever going to get used to someone hugging him without that reflex action of freezing.

“I’m sorry." She apologized. "I...forget.”
