Chapter Thirty One

“Hey, how are my favorite girls in the world?”. Cesar walked into Miesa’s hospital room with a big teddy bear in his arm and a bouquet of roses in his other hand.

“Daddy!”. Miesa’s pale face brightened when she saw him.

Cesar dropped the teddy by the bed and pecked Ellie’s cheek, handed her the bouquet then bent to kiss Miesa’s forehead.

“How are you princess?”. He asked.

“So so.” She said. "Dr Whitman is really nice. I told him sorry for the other day.”

Cesar chuckled. “That’s good." He looked at Ellie. "Hey Ell.”

“Hey. Thanks for the flowers. I love them.” She smiled.

“You look tired. Go and rest. I’ll stay with her.” He offered.

“I’m fine". Ellie said then yawned making Cesar raise a skeptical brow.

“Are you really?”. He drawled.

“This is nothing compared to what Miesa is going through.” She said.

“Daddy is right Mommy… you should rest.” Miesa insisted. "Dr Whitman has promised me that I won’t go anywhere.”
