Chapter Thirty

“Come here little boy. You know I hate looking for you.” His mother said in a sing song voice. "Cece… Mama will bake you a cake. Your favorite chocolate cake but you won’t get it if you don’t come on out.”

The little boy whimpered where he hid under the bed as he watched his mother walk around the perimeter of the bed...back and forth.

She knew where he was and he also knew she was aware of his hideout but it was like a game to her. She’d make him very scared before she pulled him out.

“You have five seconds my baby.” She sang. "I’ll start counting and you’re welcome to join me.”

“Five! four! three! two!...” She began counting.

“Oh forget it!." A deep voice boomed and stalked over to the bed. He knelt down, peered under the bed and found him. "Come here you brat!.” He reached out his hand and grabbed his ankle then dragged him out and the boy let out a ear piercing scream.

Cesar jerked awake, disoriented for awhile before he realized that he was safe and he sighed in relief.
