She's Confused

The urgent ringtone suddenly broke the silence in the room. She looked at the caller ID and saw that it was Blake calling.

"Blake."

"…" The other end of the line did not speak, only the faint sound of breathing could be heard.

Avery sighed, "Blake, about the divorce..."

He interrupted her with a sudden voice, calm and magnetic. “Avery, the reason why I married you was that I wanted to spend my life with you. I, Blake Anderson, have never married in a game.”

This was the first time such words came out of his mouth, and saying "I'm not moved" would definitely be a lie. Avery bit her lips and let her tears fall. His words were truly moving, but at this point, what was the point in saying them?

"Blake, let's part ways."

"Alright, Avery, if I die, you will be free." His voice was mixed with the screech of brakes, then the crash, then the beep of the phone.

"Blake? Blake!" Avery was panicking as she shouted into the microphone, but the ones who answered her were still busy beeping.
