Silence

"If you walk out of here tonight, Blake, it will be over between us." Avery’s tone was as light as goose feathers, but each word was as heavy as gold.

Blake looked at her deeply. His unfathomable eyes struggled for a short moment, but in the end, he still resolutely pushed her open and left

Avery seemed to have lost all of her strength, she suddenly collapsed to the ground, the corners of her mouth raised into a bitter smile, and her tears of despair fell drop by drop onto the wooden floor, this time, they had finally reached the end.

She struggled up from the ground and walked to the window. Opening a corner of the curtain, she saw that Blake’s Range Rover had parted the night sky and slowly driven away from her line of sight.

The large villa was terrifyingly quiet. She ate almost half a box of sleeping pills before she managed to sleep, as only deep sleep could numb her aching nerves. In her sleep, however, her brow remained furrowed.

I feel like a whole chapter is missing cuz the jump from the end of the last one and beginning of this one makes no sense
