Chapter Eighty Five

Theo and I didn’t get back home until around 9 pm. We had somehow managed to lose track of time at the game center. We had started with bowling at first but when I started to beat Theo at it after getting a hang of it, it hurt his pride and he made us try out other games there like darting and arcade games to which I beat him in everything. By the time we decided that it was time to go home and stepped out of the illuminated building, we found that it was already dark outside. That didn’t stop Theo from getting me the gelato I’d been craving after the games and when I asked if buying me the gelato was one of my three wishes, he replied;
