CHAPTER THIRTY TWO

My head kept banging and hurting so bad as I walked into the house. Meeting with Allison at the coffee shop wasn't my plan, and the fact that it happened was something I couldn't stop.

As I walked into the house, I saw my kids waiting for me, their faces lit up with excitement.

"Mommy!" They chorused, and jumped on me. They hugged my legs for a while, and I bent down to tap their chin.

I felt a wave of relief as I was finally home.

"Mom, come sit. We have a few stories to tell you," Aria said, pulling me by the arm.

I walked with them to the sitting room. Even though my plans were to return home and sink in bed. It had changed now. How would I forget so soon that I had kids? We settled on the couch and they began to tell me their stories, I relaxed, letting go of the strange encounter I had at the coffee shop.
