"Darling... I miss you."

Whether this is an honest expression or just a mere camouflage, I don't know. What's certain is that after five days in Hawaii, Julia only contacted Edward again this morning.

There's some curiosity too, actually. I also want to know how her husband is doing and what he's currently busy with.

"Miss me? I thought you had forgotten about me?"

Edward responded curtly and coldly. Still lying on the bed, he seemed lazy to entertain calls from his wife.

"Besides..." Edward continued. "Why didn't you call when you returned to London?"

From her tone, Julia sighed.

"Oh God. You're so angry and vengeful. I love you so much, so how could I forget you?"

"Proof is, after five days in Hawaii, you only contacted me this morning," Edward argued. Undeniably, from his tone alone, he sounded like someone holding back annoyance.
