"So why did you faint?" asked Cassie as she handed Elissa a biscuit.

Elissa swallowed. "I saw the messages on the corpses, Cas. One of the corpses had an equals sign written on it. I remember that Fritz used to make the same mark on his victims. A man approached me, and Fritz scratched an equal sign on his arm. The wound meant the person he targeted would have the same fate." She put down the biscuits that Cassie had given her. She didn't want to eat anything at all.

"Eat up; you need energy to find Edgar!" Cassie coaxed.

Elissa sighed. She also took back the wheat biscuits.

"Are there any clues?"

Elissa was silent while Cassie shook her head. "The position tracked by Ami has stopped. But when the police traced it, only a cell phone was beside the road. It seems like Fritz is brilliant and knows what he has to research," Cassie explained.
