"Ms. Rory, your family just arrived," said the event's organizer. Hearing that snapped me back in reality. It put me back in the spot where I belong and cut off my fantasy that Kairos would realize that the reason why he finds me so different from the old Rory was because we are two different people but that would never cross his mind.

"I will see you later," I told him with a smile on my lips. Kairos nodded his head. Moving around to find myself that comfortable spot. My world fell in slow motion after Kairos kissed me on my cheek and a peck on my lips, "Alright, laters, baby," he whispered when he pulled away. My heart dropped to my stomach after I saw Rory's mother standing near the door, watching it happen. She saw all of it happen.
