Ben walked into the office but Wayne’s attention was somewhere else as he stewed over this new information Tom had presented.

This had to be a sign or something because how lucky was he that his latest interest had applied to work at his company? It would be so convenient to have her nearby and Wayne was trying to keep a grin off his face as he thought about it.

“However, after she submitted her resume online she was never called in for an interview,” Tom finished as he waited for a response from Wayne. Tom’s words jolted Wayne back to reality.

What the hell was he thinking? When did he suddenly become one of those guys who employed their lovers just so they could be close by? It wasn’t like Rose was his lover or anything but that was definitely the goal; he had to have her.
