Chapter nineteen

"You took long." He whispered and I nodded.

"Long line at the bathroom."

He got back to his work after that. I tried really hard to listen attentively and jot down important points but with Adrian beside me, glancing at me with sly smiles, I couldn't do it.

Maybe it was just me but I'm sure whenever I looked up, Mr. Brandon's eyes are always on me.

Adrian seemed to be a bigger distraction with his little passing of notes with cheesy lines like we are third graders or high schoolers in a high school romance movie.

Though we'll make a great on-screen couple I assure you.

I read the last note he passed and a smile made its way to my face when I read it.

*Your hand looks kind of heavy, can I hold it for you?*

It was followed by a drawing of a wink, kind of cute.

I flash him a look and he winks at me, and it is much, much better than the one he drew on the paper.

I look up and find Mr. Brandon watching us, it's a surprise he hasn't sent us out yet. I wonder why I am testing my luck.
