Chapter sixteen

"I don't know, I was on the pills and...and I'm just so confused Cathy, I can't have a baby right now. I'm not ready to be a mum." She sobbed into her hands.

I get up from my chair and pull her into a hug.

"We'll figure this out Gar, I promise." I don't break my promises and I do promise to do anything and everything I can to make sure she's fine.

"First things first, we need to know if you're actually pregnant so this will not just be us getting worried over nothing." She nodded against me and wiped her tears.

I grab the box of Kleenex and hand it to her, she takes it from me mustering up a small smile.

"Are you off for the rest of the night?"I ask taking off my work outside and putting on the clothes I wore to school.

"Yes," I turn to her with curiosity in my eyes, she reads the unasked question and sighed. "He pays for most of the nights, that he doesn't want me to be with anyone else."

I guess the he is the father so I nod in understanding a little bit relieved but still doubtful
