I remained quiet all through the car ride back to the hotel, fixing my gaze on the setting sun outside the window. Adam's question rang through my head and honestly, I wasn't sure I had an answer.
Would I go back to Tom?
There were so many things to consider. One was, just for how long did Adam plan to help me? Perhaps he was asking the questions because he couldn't help me anymore. Perhaps he was fed up already. Or maybe he just didn't want to have anything to do with me anymore.
