Mia’s POV

To say I was disappointed was an understatement when I discovered that Allen had gone to work before I woke up this morning, again! It was clear that he prioritized work more than anything else in his life.

I ate breakfast alone. I invited Jerry to join me but he didn't. The poor guy didn't want to lose his job because Allen had warned him to stay away from me. In fact, Allen told him to leave the house after cooking and only come back when it was time to cook again. I didn't get why he would tell Jerry that, it wasn't like I would try to have something with him, he wasn't even my type.

“I can’t let things continue this way. I still have about ten months in this house, I can’t keep staying alone all day long.” I muttered to myself as I walked through the hallway, making my way to the gym. I opened the door and stepped in, it was just the way it was yesterday, the floor to ceiling window, the scent of Allen that lingered in the air, except my excitement was missing today.
