From the court to the office

Vanessa’s POV

“Ms Trinity Seaman, you’re found guilty of all the charges against you, therefore, you’re hereby sentenced to ten years imprisonment with hard labor.” The judge ruled the case against her and hit the gavel on the bench.

I couldn’t help but notice the look of horror on Trinity’s face when the judgment was made. I saw regrets, fear and pains written all over her.

I wished I could turn back the hand of time and not go to her for an abortion. But which other way would I have met Rodri?

“My baby…” was the last word I could read from her lips as the prison officers dragged her out of the courtroom.

Rodri’s grip tightened on my hand and I turned to see him giving me a reassuring smile.

“It’s not your fault babe. You didn’t tell her to try to poison me or drug dad and try to have his child. She doesn’t deserve your pity.”

I blinked back the tears that were threatening to fall off my eyes. “What about her child?” I asked him as we walked out of the courthouse.
