Chapter Twenty-three.

I waited for her to arrive but I couldn't see her. It is almost 8:00a.m, and she has not arrived at work. I called her number again, she wasn't picking. I became uncomfortable. I know the last time I called her she told me she was almost on her way. What do I do now?

I picked up my phone again and dialed her line and she still wasn't picking. I decided to wait. Maybe she couldn't get transport easily. But when I waited for 30 minutes more, I couldn't see her. I stood up from my chair, picked up my car keys, locked my office and left the company.

I moved straight to her house to know if she was okay but her door shows that she was out of the house and it was locked. I became confused. What is happening? I couldn't see her while I was on my way coming. Hope she is safe. I called her again, this time her number was picked but it was a male voice.
