Chase

I was standing across the window in my office as I stared out of the glass blankly.

I didn't even know what to think about. Everything was just one big mess.

I came to the office in the early hours of the morning. I was the one that opened the doors of the headquarters today.

All through yesterday, the search my subordinates conducted ended up with nothing.

I kept clenching and unclenching my hand.

Rachel was still nowhere to be found.

My people did all the things I instructed them to. They blocked the borders and they showed up at the airports too.

Still, I could not intercept them.

I knew they would have gone far away. Even if they remained in a nearby vicinity, there is no way to track them at all.

I could not see any hints of them.

These kidnappers are obviously professionals that had been in the business for a long time.

I wanted to ask my grandmother where she managed to find those kidnappers but I knew she would not talk.

I had to keep my malicious impulses under control.
