Chapter Ninety Two

"You bitch!" Her roar, dripping with malice, left Emma stunned and off balance.

"You are responsible for my husband's death, aren't you?" Nina's accusatory inflection sliced through the air like a sharp blade. "I warned him not to help you, but what did he do? He made me protect you, even after he was gone!"

Emma's heart raced, tears brimming in her eyes as she pleaded for understanding. "I would never betray your husband, Nina. Please, listen to me."
