The manager's brow creased in astonishment, caught off guard by her brazen defiance. For a moment, he appeared at a loss for words, with his mouth opening and closing like a fish out of water before regaining his composure. With a sharp nod, he spun on his heel and vanished into Mr. Ethan's office, leaving Emma to her ruminations once again.

Emma gathered her belongings the moment she was done for the day, her mind still reeling from the day's turn of events. Should she linger until Mr. Ethan's departure or take her leave at the earliest opportunity? Glancing at his sealed office door, she pondered, uncertainty gnawing at her. In the end, she trusted her instincts and slipped out of the office.
