CHAPTER SIX.

For the next couple of days Lisa and Eduardo had manage to stay out of each other's way, he had offered to move to a new place if it would make her more comfortable, but she had objected to it, the house was big enough for a family of four to live in and the media have been leaching around to get a glimpse of story to cover, it was annoying, she couldn't go out yet according to Eduardo until the pressure dies down.

Lisa sighed, she was growing bored coped up here, like Rapunzel, but there was no prince to save her. She smiled at her thought, her stomach grumbled, She checked the time on her phone and realized it was almost noon. She sluggishly got up and made her way to the kitchen, she stopped at the bottom of the stairs listening for sounds in case Eduardo was in there so she can turn back, when she didn't hear any, she breathed a sigh of relief, she continued on to the kitchen.

She checked the ingredients in the kitchen and settled for a sandwich, they needed to go grocery shopping, this past few days they had been surviving on take outs and sandwich, she would love to eat a home cooked meal, she was half way done with her meal, when Eduardo came through the archway, his hair were damp and longer than she had thought. The end grazed his collar and the front still bore the mark of his comb.

He wore a harmless Dark trouser and a pure white shirt, but her inside tightened impurely as he set his eyes on her and smiled, he walked behind her to grab his cup of coffee and sat down opposite her, their skin brushing gently, her inside grew warm, what was wrong with her.

He held a phone to his ear, he was on a call, perfect, she can sneak away without interacting with him, she pop the last bit of her sandwich in an unladylike like manner, which earn an intrigued look from him, she shrugged and stood up.

As she turned around to walk away, he grabbed her wrist gently, his voice still on the phone, "sit" he said in a commanding tone and Lisa didn't protest.

she sat back down.

Eduardo continued with his phone call, but his eyes were fixed on her. She felt uncomfortable under his gaze, it was intense and intimidating. She shifted in her seat and avoided eye contact. The conversation on the phone seemed to be about work, he was discussing some project with an Employee. She tried to ignore him but it was the most difficult thing to do with his eyes still fixed on her. She findle with her hands, while waiting for his call to end.

Finally, he ended the call and placed his phone on the table. He leaned back in his chair and crossed his arms, "So, how have you been?" he asked, his voice soft and calm, he had switch from the business man voice to friendly conversation.

Lisa felt a bit relieved and relaxed, "I've been okay, just getting a bit bored being stuck inside all the time," she replied, trying to keep the conversation light.

"Perfect" Eduardo sat up

Lisa stared at him, what is perfect about being coped up? she thought, " why is it perfect?"

He took a deep breath " that's why I want to speak with you, one of the executive club I belong to have a party tonight and I am to bring a plus one, my wife"

Lisa's heart skipped a beat at his words. She was tired of staying cooped up but this wasn't what she imagined, and a high class party as his wife? What had she gotten herself into.

She shook her head "I don't know if I can do that" her voice was low, just enough for the two of them to hear.

He frowned, "why not?"

"I don't know if I can, I have never been to a party like that before or any party at all, I don't have any decent clothes to wear and what if they say something about your wedding? I just can't"

Eduardo smiled gently " there is a first time for everything and I would be right there beside you, as for your clothes  I can have someone pick up a dress for you." He paused then continued " and about the wedding, I would handle the questions about them"

Lisa looked down at her lap, feeling conflicted. Part of her wanted to experience something new and get out of the house, but the other part of her was scared of the unknown.

Eduardo reached out and placed a hand on her arm "you don't have to worry about anything Lisa, all I want is for you to come with me"

Lisa looked up at him, his eyes were soft and sincere, she felt a flutter in her stomach. Maybe it wouldn't be so bad to go to a party, she needed the outing. She nodded slowly, "Alright, a new experience wouldn't hurt."

Eduardo smiled, and stood up "I would have someone pick up a dress for you and have it delivered, I would come pick you up by 7, I have some work to attend to, take care" with that he left.

Eduardo's words lingered in Lisa's mind as he left the kitchen. She couldn't believe that she had agreed to go to a high-class party with him, especially as his wife. Lisa had never attended any party before, not to mention one at that level, and the thought of being in the spotlight made her uneasy.

She tried to shake off the feeling of uncertainty and pushed herself to focus on other things. Lisa got up from the table, cleared her plate, and made her way back to her room. She lay down on her bed and looked around at the unfamiliar surroundings. Everything still felt surreal to her, she had only known Eduardo for a few days, and now she was attending a party with him as his wife.

As she sat there, her mind wandered to her life before this whole ordeal. Her life was simple, and she had always kept to herself. She had never imagined being in a situation like this, where her life had taken such an unexpected turn.

Her thoughts drifted off to her mom and sister, she was yet to contact them, she yawn, she would try to, with that she closed her eyes and slept off
