Chapter 28

After freshening up, Alexander joined Celine for dinner. As they ate, Celine recounted her visit to the doctor and how she was told that she would give birth in two weeks. Alexander's fork stopped midway to his mouth as he looked at Celine in shock.

"Two weeks? That's so soon," he said.

Celine nodded, taking a sip of water. "Yes, it is. But the doctor said everything is going well, so we don't have to worry too much."

Alexander nodded, still in disbelief. "I can't believe it's almost time for our baby to arrive. We need to make sure everything is ready at home for the baby's arrival."

Celine smiled, feeling reassured by Alexander's concern. "Yes, we do. But don't worry, I've already started getting everything ready. We need to arrange the baby's room"

Alexander grinned. "That's good to hear. I'm so excited to meet our little one."

Celine reached out to hold Alexander's hand. "Me too. I can't wait to see what he or she looks like and to hold them in my arms."
