"Isabella, why are you still hung up on Alexander?" Marcus asked, leaning in closer to her.

"I'm not hung up on him," Isabella said, defensively.

"Then why are you still talking about him?" Marcus said, his tone accusatory.

Isabella sighed, knowing he had a point. "I just can't help but wonder what could have been, you know?"

Marcus shook his head, a smile playing at the corners of his lips. "Isabella, forget about him. You and I could start something new. Something better."

Isabella felt a flicker of interest at his words, but quickly shook it off. "I can't just forget about him. And besides, what about Celine and the baby?" I hate that woman!"
