VESTA'S POV

I groaned as I opened my eyes, my body throbbing with pain from the brutal fight in the arena. Memories of the battle flooded back, each blow a reminder of the merciless combat I had endured. And yet, amidst the agony, there burned a fierce determination, a fire that refused to be extinguished.

I glanced around my room, the dim light casting long shadows across the walls. My handmaidens stood in the corner, their faces etched with concern. Relief washed over them as they saw me stir, their eyes alight with muted hope.

"How bad was it?" I asked, my voice rough with fatigue.
