Chapter 17: Truth About the Princess

"Why are you just standing there?" the head maid, Cathy, exclaimed when she saw me in the kitchen.

"Yes?" I asked, confused as to what she's saying.

"Chop, chop! Help serve the royal family their breakfast."

I frowned. As far as I know, I'm not obliged to serve the royal family. I only came back to the mansion to become Alpha Enzo's servant.

Cathy clicked her tongue and then held onto my arm. "You're now a servant of this castle, so don't act lazy and get to work."

"I'm not a servant," I muttered under my breath.

She scoffed in disbelief. "Well, of course. You're worse than that. You even tried to poison Princess Isabelle yesterday. Consider yourself lucky that you're even allowed to stay here in the castle."

I tried to argue, but she had already placed a heavy plate in my arms.

"Here," she said. "Bring this to the table. And don't you dare ruin the cutlery. This costs more than your life."

I let out a sigh of defeat and just went to the dining table to serve the royal fami
