Chapter 50: Misunderstandings

KEILAH

I jolted awake from my sleep when Enzo's voice echoed in my mind. It has been a week since we called off the wedding, and the news has spread pretty quickly around the kingdom.

Queen Noelle was the most devasted out of all, and she had asked me the reason why, but I just laughed it off and said that it wasn't the right time for us.

I also haven't seen Enzo for the past week. According to Naomi, he still locks himself up in his office every day. I heard that he's also been shifting quite often these days, just running around the forest of the kingdom.

I sighed and sat up from my bed.

Yet another sleepless night.

I don't know what I look like at the moment, but I feel like my under eyes must have gotten really dark, considering I haven't slept well for the past two days.

I put on my jacket and walked out of my room. I decided to go to the garden to get some fresh air. This has been my go-to spot when I need to calm myself down.
