Flying is a horrid thing indeed.
Stuck in a small metal tube flying high above solid ground, unable to hear the soothing sounds of nature or other people. No, only able to hear everything mechanical, the deafening wind, and the sound of the other four people on this plane.
Silas tried to talk to me and distract me, but it didn’t work. He ended up placing headphones over my ears and turned classical music on high in an effort to make me relax. It worked a little, he held my hand the whole time and rubbed it soothingly.
But I couldn’t help but take a breath of relief when we finally made it to land. He brought my hand up to his lips and said, “Now, my dear, should we rest for the night or get to work?”
