Chapter 15 | Spirit Wilds

As we got closer to the spirit wilds, the entire aura changed. I’m not sure how to explain it, but I felt like I should be on edge and alert. The weather got colder and as we got closer and suddenly the boat hit land.

I look around for Jude and watch as he comes onto shore and shifts back into his human form and he tells me, “Be careful as you journey through here. We’ve never had living people come into the spirit wilds, so there’s no telling how they will react to you.”

I get out of the boat and then help Lux down. She says, “Thank you, Jude, for the advice and helping us on our travels.”

He bows as he says, “It is an honor to be of service to you, Princess. I will be back here whenever you are ready to leave.”
