Elly There were so many thoughts and emotions fighting in Elly’s head she didn’t know where to begin to process them all. Every pair of eyes in the kitchen were on her and she couldn’t take it. A splitting pain went through her head and she pushed away from the table and ran to her room. By the time she got in the room and slammed the door, she felt something warm and wet on her face. She wiped the back of her hand across her face and pulled it away to see blood smeared across her skin. “Great, just what I needed.” She said to herself as she moved toward the bathroom. Before she could find a towel there was a knock at the door that sent panic through her. All of their explanations seemed so convenient. There was something familiar about Cecily but she had spent her entire life believing Rebekah’s lies. “Elly, are you okay?” Amber poked her head in the door. Her eyes grew wide when she saw the blood on Elly’s face. “You’re bleeding!” She rushed in and pulled Elly into the bathroom.

Elly Wood and fire rained down. Elly shielded her face as she tried to catch her breath. People were rushing around pulling each other up off the ground. A pang of fear cut through her. Where was Amber? Static filled the air. The hair on her arms stood straight up. Amber groaned and sat up, Elly gasped as she saw her long hair standing straight up. Elly The fire roared around the house. The barrier blocked them from touching the house but it did very little for stopping the heat. Sweat beaded on Elly’s forehead as it was beginning to get more difficult to breathe. Smoke pressed against the barrier, thankfully, unable to get through to them. “I don’t know how much longer I can maintain the barrier,” Darren said through gritted teeth. “We have to do something, fast.” Sweat poured down his chest.
