Chapter Eighty Nine
Elena's world shattered into pieces. Everything she had ever believed, everything that she had thought was true, her whole world was built on lies.
"Oh, I see that my story touched you. That's good. Well it's too bad though, I'll not be able to hear your take on it. You have to die."Elena lay there, not aware of her surroundings anymore. Even after Slovic struck her, causing her to fly several meters away, she still didn't care. Her whole world had just been turned upside down. She landed with a heavy thud against the corpses of soldiers who had been killed. Something in her must-have ruptured because she started choking out blood. Her head was bleeding, the blood flowing to her face and blocking her eyesight. She tried getting up, but she couldn't move her limbs. She planted her elbows steady on the ground, trying to balance herself, yet they gave out, causing her to lie back down.Slovic appeared before her, tsking. "No!" Elena exclaimed, collapsing on her knees next to her father. With shaking hands, she tried to stop his bleeding. It proved futile as his blood gushed out the more. Her father groaned, every part of his body in severe pain. He looked at his daughter—the daughter he had wronged for years. She had become a woman now, and she was beautiful, just like her mom. However, she carried the majority of her attributes from her maternal grandmother. She was crying over him, and he wanted nothing but to wipe her tears away. She shouldn't worry about him. All the people who had their sense of control ripped from them fell to the ground, holding their heads in their hands and screaming their lungs out. Whoever had been controlling them had been killed, and from the look of things, the person had to be Slovic, the huge monster. Two months later...It was finally the D-day for Elena and Calhoun's wedding. It has been two months since the warriors and soldiers of the Blood kingdom and the Kingdom of Neba all returned to their kingdoms, respectively. When Elena and her husband arrived back in the Kingdom, the people shouted in joy, chanting cheers of victory. Elena felt overwhelmed by the praise. She wasn't used to that many people liking her. The past king and queen of Neba welcomed her with open arms. They had heard about what had taken place on the field, and they were extremely proud. A vigil was held for the warriors who had lost their lives in battle, and a monument with their names on it was erected in their favor. Families of the late warriors were taken under the care of the Royal family. Once they finally had some private time to themselves, Calhoun didn't waste any more time and immediately started to ravish her. He missed her; immensely. Hey guys! We have finally reached the end of the book! To be honest, when I started writing this, I didn't think I would go as far as I did. But thanks to the encouragement I received from you guys, I was able to push on. I want to thank those who always made sure to comment under every Chapter. You have no idea how much it meant to me.
