Chp 18 Pt. 5 The Twins
Alpha Avery
I have been focused on the fighting outside, I haven’t had a chance to mind link someone for an update on how Haley and the kids are doing. There are so many rogues that their stench is covering the scent of Red Moon wolves, but I know they are here. Mason is just as anxious as I am to get to our mates.
A path clears for to finally make our way inside as my warriors deal with the wolves that are outside. I am proud of our hospital staff. This may not be a big hospital since wolves don’t always need a doctor, but for those that are here are either fighting off the enemy trying to push them back or they are protecting patients by blocking doors. I’ll need to get the hospital staff in for training so they are better prepared should this ever happen again, but I don’t plan for this to repeat itself.

Haley When I wake up I sit up in a panic. I feel the familiar sparks traveling up my arm and see Avery is a sleeping with his head on the bed while holding my hand. Haley It is utter chaos as we clash with the enemy. It doesn’t take any time at all for the grass to turn red as wolves lose their lives. I wish it didn’t have to be this way, I wish no lives had to be lost. I give Hazel full control and she easily pounces on wolf after wolf, killing each one as we go. Spartan hasn’t left our side and seems very in sync with Hazel as they fight together. I feel Spartan is distressed about something and we see Axel take off towards the cottage. I look in it’s direction and see it’s on fire. I panic and sprint off towards the cottage with Spartan on my heels. I try to mind link the boys. “Nick? Ray?” Neither one of them answer me and that makes me panic even more. As we come up in view of the cottage I see Mason carrying Akila off towards the pack house. HaleyI see Avery fighting Jake and kicking his ass. It makes my heart swell with pride. Just as Avery approaches Jake three of the wolves Mason and I were fighting change direction straight for Avery. Mason and I took out the rest and he is finishing his kill with the wolf in his teeth as I chase after the three.“Avery watch out,” I yell through the mind link, but I am too late.The three wolves all sink their teeth into Avery as he scrambles to fight them off. I tackle a wolf off of him, but it’s not enough. Jake pounces on Avery and rips his throat out. Mason attacks the other two wolves and kills them. I can see the life leave Avery and Hazel howls in pain.Mason turns his attention to Jake and we both circle him. I can see fear in his eyes as he realizes he is all alone.
