Alpha Avery “Harrison what is wrong? I can feel Haley is frightened.” “I think she had a nightmare Alpha. Alpha Avery I chuckle at the look on my mates face. She may appear tough but I don’t know what girl can resist sweets from Mary’s bakery. I lead her into the bakery and have her and the boys order whatever they want. I watch them dig into their treats as Harrison mind links me. “Alpha?” “Yeah?” “What does the Luna smell like to you?” “Apples and cinnamon why?” “I don’t smell anything. Alpha Avery I rush her to the pack clinic and lay her down on a gurney for Dr. Sully to examine. “These are not deep Alpha. She may need a few stitches but she’s fine.” “Why did she pass out then?” “Her body is still weak. She appears to have gained a bit of weight since her first arrival. Her lungs sound good, which is surprising that the wolfsbane is already gone. Alpha Avery I rush to the hospital this morning, wanting to see my mate. I am hoping she’ll let me take her out to lunch since Dr. Sully said he would be discharging her this afternoon. I’ve brought a breakfast bagel sandwich from our local family restaurant, Spencer’s. I try to get her to eat as often as I can so she can gain the weight she needs. As soon as I enter the room, my whole body tenses and I freeze. I am watching my mate embracing Nick and I send him a death glare. I am about ready to rip into the kid until I see my mate glare at me and I can feel her anger radiating off of her. “Alpha Avery, you need to stop with the death glares at my boys. It’s getting rather annoying. You should know by now I consider them my brothers, nothing more. Not that is any of your business anyway, it would be my future mates, who would understand why I am hugging him anyway.” “Yeah, it would be totally weird if I turned eighteen and my wolf told me we are mates. Haley “Alright Haley. You are free to go.” “Thank you Dr. Sully!” “Haley let’s go to that festival that the wolves are throwing,” says Ray excitedly. “What festival?” “The Lunar Eclipse Festival. There is going to be a lunar eclipse tonight,” says Nick. “Sounds like fun. Where are Aiden and Harrison?” “I’m not sure but please don’t make us wait for them. We will be surrounded by the whole pack,” begs Ray. I can’t help but laugh and agree. The boys high five each other as I grab my clothes they brought and change in the bathroom. Once we exit the hospital I notice the boys are driving the Jeep. “Neither one of you have a license.” “But you taught us how to drive. We could pass no problem at this point,” Nick says with a grin. “Give me the keys. You can drive all you want when we get the money to go get your license.” Nick tosses me the keys and directs me to where the festival is taking place. Alpha Jake found it necessary I learn how to drive so I could go shopping for need

Alpha Avery “What is going on Harrison?” I finally show up at the festival to find Haley on stage with a microphone in her hand. “You just missed it. Haley apparently plays the violin, beautifully I might add. Now she is going to sing.” “She volunteered to perform on stage?” “Well, no. Nick and Ray signed her name and pretty much forced her on stage. From the look on her face I am sure she will kill them later,” laughs Harrison. I stand next to Harrison and my jaw drops as she begins to sing. I don’t know this song but it sounds so sad and I can see she is putting her emotions into the song. I see Ray sneaking up to the the DJ’s turntable. The DJ gives him control and a slow pop beat plays, I can tell Haley was not prepared for the change, but she doesn’t falter. Seems like these boys had some talents before becoming slaves. The pack knows this is their Luna and they seem in awe of her. Haley I wake up in a good mood. I don’t know why I felt so comfortable with that wolf but I wouldn’t mind meeting him again. After what happened last night I think I have a good plan for me and the boys to earn our own money. They may be comfortable using the Alpha’s money, but I am not. I shower and get ready for the day. It’s getting colder out so I decide to grab a cute sweater dress with leggings and knee high boots. The boys are already downstairs eating a bowl of cereal. “Damn Haley, amazing what some clean clothes and food will do to ya. Your mate won’t be able to take his hands off of you when you find him,” says Nick with a teasing tone. “And you might not live to see the next day if I tell him what you just said,” I tease back. “You wouldn't let him hurt me. Alpha Avery I am deep in paperwork when I hear Harrison and Aiden yelling out my mates name. I walk to the window to find her speeding off in the Jeep, leaving her guards behind. “What happened,” I mind link them. “We don’t know Alpha. I am going to assume the therapy session you set up did not go well,” says Harrison. Shit. That was supposed to help her not piss her off. “Isla, what happened.” “I’m sorry Alpha, but what she tells me is strictly confidential. I need to earn her trust. I can’t be telling you what she tells me. You could order me to but I don’t think she’ll be happy to hear that you did.” I growl in frustration.
