"Avery?" Harry frowned slightly. He didn't seem to believe Wendy.

Wendy quickly added, "It was that man we met behind the library earlier today. He doesn't look like a good person at all. I was worried he would trick Avery, so I followed them."

Harry asked her, "Did you get a good look? Are you sure it was her?"

"It should be… When I followed her I saw them enter this motel, but I lost them once inside," Wendy said as she gauged his reaction.

"So, Harry, what are you doing here?"

"Someone sent me a message asking me to come here. It said there was a surprise waiting for me." Harry raised his arm and showed Wendy the message.

Wendy glanced at the number. It was from Jared indeed.

"It must be spam," Wendy said as she deleted the message.

"It could also have been sent by mistake."

"Mm." Harry noticed her behavior but didn't say anything.

Putting away his phone, he said, "Let's go. I'll send you home."
