With that, Edith didn't pay Harry any more attention and turned to Xavier. "Avery needs someone with her right now. I need to take care of something downstairs."

"Alright, Ms. Johnson." Xavier nodded politely.

Once Edith left, Xavier and Harry entered the room.

Since the heater was on, the room was quite warm. Eason had taken off his coat and draped it over a chair. He was now bent over Avery, with one hand supporting the back of her head as he fed her water.

Hearing a noise, he glanced back briefly. His gaze swept across Harry's, but he didn't flinch.

Harry walked over to them and noticed Avery's pale complexion. He frowned. "What happened to her?"

It was Xavier who answered. "Wendy locked her in the bathroom and switched on the air conditioner to make her freeze to death. Luckily we came to check on her because she wasn't answering her phone.

"If she had been locked in all night, the consequences would have been unimaginable."

Even a few hours in there would have frozen
